Sweet family of 4!

I had a great time on Friday afternoon when I got to take pictures of the A family. The littlest A of all is turning 1 in just 2 weeks. Here is a sneak peek from that shoot.

WANTED!!!

I am searching for couples (married or not) or ladies who wouldn't mind dressing up in wedding gear and modeling, helping me build my portfolio. I have a couple of weddings booked and tons of ideas but would like to play around with shots and get creative before the couple's big day. Some exciting opportunities coming....

I am booking slots for a spring session on April 11th. (Place to be announced) from 4-7:30 p.m. (20 minute session) for $10 session fee (includes at least 5 proofs). Dress your cutie up in their spring best and come down for a session with a bunny, flowers and springish things! I am taking 7 spots on a first come, first serve basis and if I get enough interest, I will open another day. In case of bad weather, the shoot will be rescheduled for April 14th. Sweet little thing!

I had a photo session a week ago with this pretty little thing. Miss H didn't like having her picture taken at first but soon her grandmother rocked her to sleep and she was out for the count! Here are a few from that session!

Fun at the laundromat...

I got a call from my friend A last night asking if I wanted to go to the laundromat with her. I said sure, but can I bring my camera??!! HA!!! We had a little fun before the comforters finished in the dryer, here are a few pictures from our fun evening!! Who would have thought going to the laundromat would be so much fun??!!!

Contest TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What does Easter mean to you? With Easter quickly approaching, I wanted to have a contest for YOU to participate in. I want you to take a photograph to show me what Easter means to you. Please review the rules before submitting your photograph.

RULES:
1. Only ONE photo per household may enter the competition.

2. Contest runs from Tuesday, March 4th through 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18th.

3. Myself as well as two other judges will judge the photograph based on 3 different criteria:

• Creativity/Originality
  
• The story the photograph tells
  
• and beauty/cuteness of the photograph.

4. Each category has a chance of getting 5 points.

5. Judges will then pick the top 3-4 entrants for the public to judge. The top entrants will be posted by Thursday, March 19th and voting will run through 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd. Winner will be announced on Easter Sunday, March 23rd.

6. Have fun and get your thinking caps on! Submit your photo to karapiehlphotography@gmail.com MAKE SURE TO PUT EASTER CONTEST in the subject line so it won't get deleted. Along with your photograph, I need your name and phone number.

Prizes:
1st place: A $10 gift card to Starbucks or store of your choice and a complimentary hour session with Kara Piehl Photography.
(Session only good in photographer's town, if out of town, the gift card will be the only prize).

2nd place: A $5 gift card to Starbucks or store of your choice and a complimentary session with Kara Piehl Photography.
